Remove Rubbish
ゴミをなくしましょう
Litter is unattractive, harmful to wildlife and can increase vermin and disease.
Plan your visits to reduce rubbish, and carry out what you carry in.
ゴミは歓迎されません。
野生動物にとって有害なばかりでなく、害虫や病気を増やす原因になります。
なるべくゴミが少なくてすむような計画をたてなさい。
また、持ち込んだゴミは全て持ち帰りなさい。
Bury Toilet Waste
排泄物は埋めましょう
In areas without toilet facilities, bury your toilet waste in a shallow hole
well away from waterways, tracks, campsites, and huts.
トイレ設備のない地域では、排泄物は浅目の穴を掘って埋めなさい。
また、その際は水路や山道、テントサイト、山小屋等から十分離れた場所にしなさい。
Keep Streams and Lakes Clean
川や湖を綺麗に
When cleaning and washing, take the water and wash well away from the water source.
Because soaps and detergents are harmful to water-life,
drain used water into the soil to allow it to be filtered.
If you suspect the water may be contaminated,
either boil it for at least 3 minutes, or filter it, or chemically treat it.
洗濯や皿洗いをする時は、水源から十分に離れた場所で行いなさい。
石鹸や洗剤は水にとって有害なので、可能な限り濾過処理を行ったのちに排水しなさい。
水が汚染されているか疑わしい場合は、最低３分間煮沸するか、
フィルタで濾過するか、薬品で消毒するかしなさい。
Take Care with Fires
焚き火は注意して
Portable fuel stoves are less harmful and are more efficient than fires.
If you do use a fire, keep it small,
use only dead wood and make sure it is out by dousing it with water
and checking the ashes before leaving.
焚き火と比べると、携帯用コンロはより無害で効率がいいものです。
もし焚き火をする場合には、小さな焚き火にすることを心がけ、枯れ木のみを用いなさい。
消火は水を掛けて確実に。出発前には灰に火が残っていないことを確認しなさい。
Camp Carefully
注意深くキャンプしましょう
When camping, leave no trace of your visit.
キャンプの際には、貴方が訪れた痕跡を残さないようにしなさい。
Keep to the Track
登山道を歩きましょう
By keeping to the track, where one exists, you lessen the chance of damaging fragile plants.
登山道がある場合、可能な限りそこを外れることのないようにしなさい。
か弱い植物にダメージを与えてしまう危険性を減らせます。
Consider Others
他の人のことを考えましょう
People visit the back country and rural areas for many reasons.
Be considerate of other visitors who also have a right to enjoy the
natural environment.
